Based on the interest in the vacant Community Director position on the YEU Executive, we will be conducting a nomination meeting and election for the vacant position. The meeting and election process will be virtual attendance only - no in-person meeting.
The period for nomination will remain open until the conclusion of the nomination meeting, after which the election will occur.
Nominations and elections will follow the same format as the YEU Convention:
- Nominees will need to be from one of the communities outside of Whitehorse.
- Nominees need to be nominated and seconded
- Nominees may choose to accept or decline their nomination
- Nominees may choose to speak for three minutes
- If multiple rounds of voting are required, the lowest vote-taker will be dropped from each ballot until there is a clear majority

The poll will remain open until July 31 to allow for folks on vacation time to participate, and we will send a reminder before the close of the poll.
The date of the virtual meeting to elect a new Community Director will be confirmed based on the results of this poll.
